Natalie stood up last night. Not "held onto my hands and was hoisted", or even "pulled herself up on a piece of furniture", but "rolled back from all fours into a frog-squat and then just stood up unassisted".

Go, small girl! Fulfill your dreams of running around!

I was really rooting for the "early talker late walker" kind of baby, but I guess I'm going to be thwarted. :)

A month, you think? Okay. I will enjoy this non-ambulatory month while I still can.

Well, note that I weasn't ruling out the possibility of an ambulatory 8-month-old. :-)

I believe that this is what's known in the industry as "not helping". :)

I fully expect that she will be walking by the time I get back from Pennsic. She's been eager to walk for over a month now. She's a total dynamo. Seriously, the kid's a marvel. I'm not an expert. But of the kids her age I've looked after before? Her motor skill and mobility development is more then impressive. I've been impressed with her from the get-go and I continue to be impressed.
