I'd just like to point out that I have a medical reason to put my feet up on my desk.

I have a new cubicle at work. This shouldn't be exciting, but it is -- I swear, I got the nicest cubicle on the floor. It's big, it's in a corner, it's at the end of a row, there are 5-foot-high stripes of window in each wall looking out onto lots of rustling trees, and it's quiet. Blissfully quiet. Plus, I have a stuffed wombat and a stuffed Gobo, and my feet are up on the desk.

Work is going pretty well. I can't get my head around the fact that I am enjoying my job and it's mostly not stressful. Usually, those two things don't go together. I'd better enjoy it now, while it lasts.

Wow that cubicle does sound nice. Especially the windows. I luck out that way, no one in my company doesn't'have a window. I know Aaron is uber jealous of that.

It is a secret perk of being pregnant!
That rocks.

Also, I would totally be excited about the cubicle, too :)

That's good. That's good. 'Cause pregnancy and huge job stress? Not good!

You taking time off after the kid's out of the container stage?

Oh, definitely taking time off. We'll see how much my boss lets me take.

I've seen this cube. We call it the Penthouse Cube. It used to belong to a manager. Since my coworkers speak of Molly in hushed tones, it does not shock me that she got God's Cubicle. When I read the notes she has written for us to use as reference guides, I can see that she has earned her cube.

Besides, she's Molly. Rawk on.

Wait, what on earth are you reading by me? I thought all of my carefully-authored technotes on mvfs_largeinit and such crap were re-branded as being owner by other people in the Great Technote Switchover!

K. the manager had nice things to say about you today. :)

my favorite bit of pseudogreek is recalled to mind by your icon. "omphaloscopy."

Usually one is contemplating one's own navel from the outside, not imagining someone peering out of it -- or possibly bursting merrily outward. :)

I can't let go of the (genuine) French word nombrilisme. It's like omphaloskepsis, only because they're French, they actually talk about it!
