I don't believe it! After all that (where "all that" refers to a bunch of annoying annoyances involving the bank not being coordinated enough to get their own papers from point A to point B and then blaming us), after everything was all set to close tomorrow, we get word today that the sellers haven't gotten their own mortgage on this house squared away, yet, and we won't be able to close for up to another week.

I mean, arrrrgh! I'm not even going into the part where they weren't willing to extend the closing date for our bank's snafu.

Reason #897 why your friends use "mortgage" as a safeword. Mortgages are Not Fun, but they let you buy Neat Things with Next To No Money, which is pretty cool, all in all.

Which doesn't change the fact that getting one sucks, and not well.
