(no subject)

So, contrary to the advice of kungfoogirl (and ectropy), I didn't end up in a dyke bar tonight. I had every intention of doing so! But, see, my ANKLE hurt, so this morning I'd had to take the bus, but then I missed my bus HOME which was where I'd left the address of the dyke bar, right?

Right.

So there I was, standing by the side of the road staring at dirt and trying to figure out what to do -- do I take the long bus route home, which takes over an hour, or do I walk, which probably takes the same amount of time and is more entertaining but doesn't allow me to sleep? Or do I just ditch the dyke bar and go into the city, to the known quantity of a De La Soul show? I am certain that I looked like a complete nincompoop, confused by dirt.

Then, my boss Mads walked up and said, "Hey, Molly, come and have burgers with us!" And then, before long, I was out drinkin' with coworkers, which I haven't done since BSDIS. Eventually we scattered, and it turned out I was 100 paces from the church-turned-nightclub where the show was being held.

It was a really great show and a kickass venue, and I got to see a girl right up by the stage whip out her cell phone and send someone a text message. I mean ... wow, what are you punching in to those little teeny keys? "Hi!!!!! I'm at the show!!! now!!! like ... !!!!!"

That was always nice dinner with incidental drinking. This was drinking with incidental dinner. Tomorrow, out to club More (http://www.expectmore.nl/) with a passel of coworkers. Hmmm...
