Technically I suppose it's a wellness / lactation room.

We had one of those at my first job in Westford. Same deal - low sofa, little fridge, low light. It was the "mother's room" but EVERYONE (including nursing mothers) used it as the nap room. Mmmmm every office should have a nap room.

did you get the pens?

Yes! Another thing I did today was try all of my many different types of pens at work to see if I still prefer the same ones. Thank you so much for those!

*IMPRESSED*

- Amadea, whose self-soothing strategies today have consisted of Bubble Shooter (failed) and beer (succeeded, but didn't exactly get the metaphorical desk clean, y'know?).

The Kennedy pool. Their family swim is great.

My comment seems to have been eaten. I would definitely be up for a joint swim there with y'all sometime. Smiles likes the family swim quite a bit.

Oh cool! Us too, then! I had never been to the family swim before her class at the Healey School had a class playdate there a few weeks back. It's great!

I am really glad for you that you were able to figure out self-soothing behaviors and then succeed in self-soothing. That is commendable!

How did you come up with today's behaviors? Or, to put it another way, are these things you've tried before with success?

No! I have just had an extremely stressful couple of days and realized that I wasn't going out of my mind, and wondered why. Tallying up the things I did just that day for self-care made me feel extremely good about my unconscious patterns.
