Now that I have time to breathe:

The phone call came in at more or less the last minute possible today, that my Lexington boss would be okay with me staying two weeks (but not another month). Perhaps I chose the wrong time to ask for vacation for Burning Man -- two days ago. I still haven't heard back on that. I still find it a bit creepy that absolutely none of this negotiation passed through my hands. Mads, my boss here, is a nice enough guy to tell me about it.

So! I get one more weekend here, and hopefully, this time I can get a ticket back on Saturday instead of Sunday.

It'll be nice to be back -- I miss seeing people who mean something to me on a regular basis. But in the meantime, I'm going to make the most of being here. So, I'm taking suggestions! Help me let people live vicariously through me! What should I do that I haven't already done? I have: ridden buses, trams, trains, and boats; sat on park benches and stared at canals; skated and biked all around the area; photographed buildings and people and ducks; gone to a museum in an altered state; visited multiple sex toy shops; eaten long nummy fancy dinners.

I haven't yet biked to The Hague. I think I have to do that. The Hague or Germany.

But what else? I promise to post a full report if I do it.

Yeah! That's why I think it would be really neat to go there. The Germany jaunt has the appeal of being a longer ride and of actually causing me to cross international borders, but I'm really leaning toward The Hague.
