the best game EVER
Jan. 25th, 2002 10:27 amfennel introduced me to a new game: googlewhacking! The object is to find a pair of two English words that, when entered into Google, produce only one search result.
Your score is the product of how many hits each word gets on its own. The googlewhack site lists "cartographer hairballs" as an example (56,100 x 12,200 = 684,420,000). Really low scores and really high scores are both cool.
Here are my three favorites so far. It really does feel like naming bands. :)
cthonian eyeliner 29,393,000
misanthropic sellotape 189,924,000
pleistocene headrush 1,524,000,000
