I hope they're Community Boating's Lasers (capsizing is part of learning to sail 'em) and not their basic barge-y Cape Cod Mercurys (capsizing is definitely not standard procedure). At least one doesn't have to get an automatic tetanus shot after falling into the Charles anymore...
My husband (who has been learning to sail the Mercurys these past few weeks, which seems to consist largely in being told what not to do lest you capsize them) has a similar view to moominmolly's, and says "Looks to me like the youth classes were taking the high-performance boats out. With wind gusts of 30 kts, there is no stability at all."
