[6/8] today's happiness: Other People's Kitties

I recently let go of an old friend, but it turns out that didn't tarnish or diminish my appreciation for other cuddlable fuzzy animals. D and I watched a movie with many mostly-throwaway cat moments in it, and each one made me go "aww" just the right amount.

Also, why is it that I cannot stand the sound of people slurping and chewing, but the sound of cats eating or snoring or licking is just cute?

I go nuclear when I hear other people eating/chewing/whatever. I don't know why, and I understand that it's unreasonable. But, there it is.

However, if my cat makes those noises, my heart just fills with love for how CUTE she is. Awww, look. She's EATING.

The other day my cat was beside me on the couch, snoring *and* dream-twitching *and* sleeping with her paw over her eyes in that "shut off the lights, already!" kind of way. I just about died of cute.
