Just got a bit of mail from someone who enjoyed the intrepid heroines site and wanted to know the exact route we took. That's a question I never thought I'd get, since we completely made it up as we went along. We hit some good roads and some terrible ones, there were lots of days where we didn't know in the morning where we'd end up in the evening, and I really can't imagine someone else deciding to deliberately trace our path. We had a couple of waypoints that determined the arc of our route (Mark and Michelle's place, an airport in Illinois, Salt Lake City, Burning Man), and if we hadn't had those, our trip might have been entirely different. I figure you are best off either taking a well-mapped route or using the seat of your own pants. Anyway, I'd have been glad to tell her where we went if I'd still had a record of the roads we chose!
