OK, so, today (Tuesday) is my birthday. Knowing how much I like muffins, David made me the best birthday cake I've ever heard of. When I got home after work, he quickly shut the bedroom door and said:

"Hello! You sure shouldn't come in the bedroom right now! Nope! Or really even go through the rest of the house!"

Er... sure! Why not?

"OK! Yup! I sure am waiting in the hallway, just like I'd planned to do when I got home and found a house full of mysterious smells!"

Then he let me in and I found this spread out over the bed:





Then he sang me the very brand new Muffin Birthday Song, which sounded quite a bit like the regular birthday song except for the line asserting that muffins love me.

It is very hard to blow out this many muffins when you are laughing.

I keep forgetting you're younger than I am, although only by ten months. I assume everyone is my senior unless otherwise provoked. I guess it's because I skipped a grade and still feel like I'm catching up.

I didn't play enough hopscotch in the year of recess I missed.
