No radio buttons?  Slipping!

I like the autumn thing.  I also like the idea of a generous blend of reddish-burgundy and purple.

I want something that says it will submit poll responses if I have marked them but then I go and comment before submitting like a doofus.

"[L]ike a doofus" can apply to any part of that sentence.

Hm.

"I want something like a doofus"? Well, sure, who doesn't? (I suppose this could mean "you want a thing which is similar to a doofus" or "you perform the action of wanting in the manner of a doofus" -- either way, who doesn't.)

"I want something that says like a doofus"? Hm, slightly ungrammatical.

"I want something that says it will submit like a doofus"? Oooh, kinky.

I could keep going here but yeah, I buy your contention. :)

Also, I'm thinking it should be a Madonna song. "Like a doofus, posting for the very first time..."

Also:

No radio buttons? Slipping!

I am merely trying to lull people into a false sense of control so that they will complain again the next time I use radio buttons. Nothing quite like intermittent reinforcement!

I'm looking for the "depends, are you still talking about interviews?" option.

From: [identity profile] moominmolly.livejournal.com
That makes you [livejournal.com profile] cos, I think! But really, I think I'm not talking about interviews anymore.

I had the first round of interviews last week with neatly-styled orange hair, and it all went very well. I'm meeting a couple more people on Wednesday at the job I'm most excited about, and the hiring manager (who I met with last time, but who will be out of the office for this round) actually sent me email saying "I'm keeping my fingers crossed!", which seems like a good sign.

That makes you cos, I think!

Ack! I was afraid of that. ;-)

Definitely a good sign when the hiring manager is giving you the secret thumbs up. Glad to hear it!

I am cos because I think you should color your hair in your football team's colors. If you don't have a team, use mine (Redskins).

Unless ze's really twisted and is keeping zir fingers crossed that you don't get hired.

Was the black and blue your dream? Then I would listen. ;)

I like the autumnal theme, but heading more towards a burgundy mix than an orange mix.

From: [identity profile] moominmolly.livejournal.com
It's not a very orange autumn, is it?

And yes, the blue/black was the dream. I'm definitely doing it *some* time, but the question is, do I wait until the leaves fall?

From: [identity profile] dreda.livejournal.com
A fine question. Inside you, is it autumn? No harm in having your hair colour be an outward manifestation of an inward state. If your internal weather is black and blue, having pure autumn on your head may feel subtly wrong.

I completely support this assertion and second the notion that if you're dreaming about it, it's somehow more "you" than any conformance with external traditions on "colors for the season."

I just did my bathroom in pink and burgundy. (Or, rather, the pink was foisted on me by the previous owners in the form of a tiled floor I'm not willing to redo; the burgundy was added by me as the least painful way to turn the pink into something bearable.)

therefore you should go with burgundy and then come by a bathroom accessory for me.

I always approve of people doing their hair in bright streaks of any kind. :) I'm just afraid to color mine lest I not get the red back.

From: [identity profile] moominmolly.livejournal.com
My natural hair color is so dark, and my hair so fine, that I am reassured by the knowledge that I can dye my hair "back" at any moment, and also by my discovery that bleaching it actually makes it *easier* to work with and gives it more body, as opposed to making it brittle and weird.

In other words: I always approve of people keeping gorgeous red hair red so that we can live vicariously through each other's hair. :)

I don't know about burgundy in specific, but I wholeheartedly support shades of red. Maybe autumnal reds, rusts, chestnuts?

Of course, I also wholeheartedly support blue hair, and a sort of starburst of black in it radiating from the crown of your head could be really, really cool...

As an only tangential note, I have different Windows themes saved for the seasons.  Oranges and warmth for autumn, burgundy and green for Christmas, greens and blues for spring, and silvery and white for summer.

I picked every button because I did not want to expend the effort to read and *think* about each option and instead went "CLICKY BUTTONS!"

But an orange, burgundy, blue, black, and plain brown combination would be AWESOME.
