Well, I was stuck at work, with no HoHos for sale for a mile in any direction. I've since -- well, I had a package of Suzy Q's, since the drugstore was out of HoHos. They had corn syrup, which has been giving me trouble, but I followed it with a glass of water and some cheese and just tolerated the blorpiness. Damn, was that a satisfying snack cake.

I doubt that your body NEEDS anything in a HoHo (if that's what you mean by irrational). But hell, sometimes you just want a snack cake. I'm a fan of Drake's over Hostess, much to my dismay because Drake's are hard to get out here.

But you could experiment, try a HoHo and a Yodel and let us know which is better and why. Both are good if you put them in the freezer briefly to get the chocolate coating all crunchy.
