In San Francisco (and I'm guessing Mexico or somewhere in Central America...?) they sell sliced mango with hot (red) sauce, and a little salt. It's great.

Not sure how you are about spicy food, either now (in your "delicate condition") or in general. But even a mildly spicy sauce would probably be good.

It's a change from the uzhe (sp?), is all.

Interesting. I should try this. It sounds tasty.

My delicate condition seems to love spicy food, but mistrust too much bread or corn syrup. As limitations go, that set is pretty excellent.

Speaking of Firefly, while you were there, did you happen to see a band called Incus? The reason I ask is that they have offered to play at Arisia '06 and I'd like to know more of what they do and how good they are at doing it.

Since you went to Arisia '05, do you think they would fit in at A '06, especially leading into a drum circle?

I wasn't in the mood for them when I saw them, but later they played an improv thing that would have led nicely into a drum circle. If you're curious, go see them (http://www.milkywayjp.com/tonight.html?on_date=2005-07-17)! I think they're all talented musicians that just weren't what I was looking for at the moment.
