Went out tonight to bid farewell to ManRay on Fetish night with dilletante and fennel. Sadly, we missed maighread & co., since the line to get in was about an hour long and we were not clever enough to show up early; on the other hand, we were probably able to exchange more words outside on the sidewalk than we would have been inside in the steambath.

Some good music and good dancing was had -- I'm really happy we went, actually, since the last couple of times we've gone I haven't felt like dancing at all, and this time I just said, 'screw it!' and danced. It was *incredibly* hot and sticky, but loads of fun; I got special pleasure out of taking my shirt off and dancing in my (black) bra for a song or two.

A few other people we knew were there: tisana, ladytabitha, penghuin, etc. For the most part, though, it was a crowd of sweaty, well-meaning strangers. I didn't mind. It was hot, sticky, and worth it.
