(no subject)

OK -- I'm lucky enough to have a fantastic kid who I love to bits and who I have a generally peachy relationship with, a wonderful husband who gets me on a very deep level, AND a house with great housemates including a live-in playmate for said kid. I'm also lucky enough to have a job that gives me a huge paid holiday vacation in addition to my 4 weeks of paid vacation the rest of the year, allowing me to take care of her while she's on winter break from her posh private school (sigh).

However! However. I am so not cut out to be a stay at home parent. I admire all of you who can do it, or who live as single parents. I love my life and really I only LIKE my job, but I am so happy to be back at it this morning I can't even tell you.
