foodies: help!

If you wanted to eat one good meal in New York City, didn't eat meat (other than fish), and wanted reservations for this weekend, where would you go? Meat on the menu is absolutely fine, as long as there are nonmeat/fish options available as well.

how nice of a place are you looking for?

since those requirements match my diet, the two places i've been itching to go are Yuka (all you can eat sushi for $18, 2nd ave between 81st and 82nd) and Mexican Radio, but neither one is the type of place that requires reservations.

As long as the food is great, I'm open to anything that's not superfancy. I don't want to go to the kind of restaurant where you *need* reservations weeks in advance, and I don't want to spend $40/entree, but anything below that is fair game.

I'd probably save all-you-can-eat sushi for a future trip, though. :)

Thanks!

[livejournal.com profile] elvendoll introduced me to Mexican Radio when we were last in NY and it was amazing! And I'm really picky about Mexican food.

And I remember there being lots of choices for Demi who also has those same dietary restrictions...
