March on Washington. also: life
Here is a link to some colorized photos of the March on Washington, 50 years after the fact. It's a pretty great (if light) article and set of photos on the difficulties and strengths of colorization; especially worth it for the one image that was done by two different people.
Life has been busy, like it is. The kid is seven and a half, full of ideas and comic books and energy. I just celebrated my one-year anniversary at this job, and I still love it. We are just now winding down the now-annual pilgrimage up to Maine for the summer, and it was pretty excellent aside from that one time with the wasp nest.
What's up with you?

Everyone in my household is happy and relaxed, which is an amazing gift from the universe and one we are thoroughly savoring.

Glad to hear things are generally well (except for those wasps!)
I'm enjoying playing mom to my niece as I'll be driving her to college this weekend. Tee-hee! College!
I also have an easier schedule this month where I'm doing women's health and feeling a lot of boobs. Interesting and a little surreal.
A is directing a play that's showing at the end of the month. Yay! (Twelfth Night with Theatre @ First)
And I'll be singing B9 at Symphony Hall again. Yay!
Life almost feels like "normal"!

math art, on the other hand, has been pretty good of late.
we (Ike Feitler) hope to have a set of laser etched fractal zoom (http://owen.maresh.info/laserjulia.html) for people with visual input system problems.

Life's crazy. This week has been paralyzing with exhaustion on one hand, and extreme reluctance to work on the other. The latter is a direct result of last Friday's weekly meeting, in which we finally charted out how many people should be doing the work I'm doing. The number is three. When things will get better staffing-wise is anyone's guess.
House is chaos, work is chaos, my head is... getting less chaotic, because I'm working on it super hard! So that's good.

You're three people? My goodness. I knew you were amazing.

But oh god I have a working lunch every day next week.
How about the following week? Pick a day and it's yours.

I built a Citrix XenServer, which took no time. Now I'm learning its CLI as quickly as possible so i can have a bunch of VMs and learn Oracle.
Other stuff isn't public but is good. But yes, I miss you!
