It's a dragon eel that Ted and I saw while we were diving in Hawaii last summer! Theoretically, it has a longing body in the coral behind that mouth.

You know, my 10th or 20th reaction when I realized you were pregnant was, Wait, that means they won't be learning to scuba dive any time soon... And I won't get to read their fun entries about diving for at least a year or two... No!!!

We're not planning on kids for a couple years, but I'm dreading the long pregnant pause in diving about as much as I'm dreading the no caffeine. But apparently you're at increased risk of the bends while pregnant, and walking around with 50 pounds of weight on my back probably wouldn't seem super cool then, either.

Hmm, now that I've said that, I'm wondering if it's not in bad taste to bring up lack of diving when you're congratulating someone -- sorry about that. Anyway, congratulations!

It's not in bad taste at all! I forgot to reply to this until now, but it made me really sad to think I wouldn't get to try out diving and underwater photo equipment for another YEAR. But it's absolutely still on the horizon. :)
