Wow, that was hard to read. My mom was really angry with her speech at the convention, for basically this issue. I've been having a lot of trouble dealing with that and have been puzzled as to why. Realized while reading this that I deeply need Michelle's choice to become a momified first lady to be "ok" in some abstract feminist way, since it's so similar to the choice that trom has made for me. I'm not sure what to do with the realization now that I have it, though. Besides focus on not crying at work. (Yes, still at work, I'll be home late again tonight.
