When you let a 2-year-old make up her own costume, you wind up with a spiderweb girl with a kittycat nose.

That was for a party (at which D and I dressed up as spiderwebs, too). Today, she went trick-or-treating up and down our block dressed as naalibumbuhbee!

nataliebumblebee!

In other news, she has learned to smile for the camera on command. I find this cute, and I also find it cute that her real smiles are cuter.

cheese!

Also, she's been walking around on tiptoe for about a month now. What's with that? My brother always did it (and so did I, to a lesser extent). He still does, actually, if you catch him off-guard.

SO TALL!

She came by those legs honestly. Mine are stupidly long.

Well, to be fair, her platform of "naali have everyfing?" might be well served by standing on her toes to get the extra inch :)

Law of Nature: you can see things better from up higher. Also reach them. Look--a free extra inch! And really, if anyone complains she can always point accusingly at high-heeled shoes.

Haha! Yay!

Heeeeeee hee hee! Yay bees. :)

And yay for hand-me-downs! The walking around and buzzing was priceless, although I dread his realization that other kids got to go out and collect candy. Next year, we hit the 'hood.

I THINK there was a question on the Aspie Test going around about "Do you walk on your toes"...

Not to panic or discomfit you (and I really doubt I have), but as you asked...

she is so grown up with her popcorn ball holdin' swagger and all. wow.

And both costumes are very very adorable I bet she had a lot of fun!

Ours was a handmedown, too! Just good luck that N loves bees. :)

She was really into that popcorn ball.

I walk on tiptoe, too. Mostly only forced myself to walk 'normally' with shoes on because people picked on me about it.

Is not, as far as I know, a bad thing.

Aidan does the tiptoe thing too, I think it's so he can see over things.
