Hee hee hee! I mean, sure, it sounds useful, but that name...

Edit: both dictionary.com and m-w.com say that a haruspex is a priest from ancient Rome, despite the fact that Romans got it from (at least) Etruscans/Babylonians/Assyrians. This makes me weirdly grumpy.

Unsound lines of reasoning

"I'm not puking. This migraine can't be that bad! I think I'll get up and do stuff now."

Mental note: Just because I am a member of the no-pukin' club doesn't mean I'm not genuinely fucked up. Blaaaah.

It's the first migraine I've had in years, and it is pretty mild. (The fact that I can sit up and type will attest to this.) But sentences like "It's OK, the little snakes are black and white instead of red and yellow, this time, and they're not NEARLY covering half of my field of vision like they normally do!" don't tend to reassure outsiders.
